Hitch-mounted mobility carriers like this one are not suitable for use on tow-behind trailers, such as 5th wheel and camping trailers, motor-homes, or RVs. Always respect the maximum tongue rating of your trailer hitch to avoid any potential hazards. Additionally, be aware that your vehicle's.swing may impose limitations on your hauling weight. In some cases, you might need to consider installing air shocks or heavier springs to reinforce the suspension and prevent unwanted sagging.
 

Lastly, carriers should not be used with hitches that measure less than 12 inches from the ground to the bottom of the hitch, unless a riser adapter is employed. Please note that tie-downs are sold separately.
